Sam "Momo" Giancana was born in 1908 to Sicilian immigrants in a neighborhood known as Chicago's Little Italy.
Once a "wheelman" for Al Capone, Momo rose to power and became head of the infamous Chicago Outfit and a player on the national stage with shadowy ties. It was said he had strong connections to high ranking government officials including the Kennedy family and the CIA. During his time, he was considered to be the most powerful man west of the Mississippi.
